THE BIRDIE FAIR TOTE

Handmade in Wayne, PA from vintage canvas totes from the 1950s–1990's, each one-of-one Birdie Fair features the original patina and naturally faded canvas, and is re-made and re-structured to it's modern silhouette. Finished with brass hardware from Wyoming, each tote is hand-signed and individually numbered. No two are alike.

DISCLAIMER

Hathaway Hutton is an independent brand devoted to sustainability, thoughtfully repurposing pre-owned designer textiles into singular garments and accessories. We are in no way affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the original brands whose materials we reimagine. All trademarked names are referenced solely for descriptive and editorial purposes.

Each Hathaway Hutton piece is handcrafted. Like, actually by hand, with actual human fingers. Every piece begins with vintage textiles and materials, repurposed through my own patterns, my own scissors (chop chop chop), and my own sewing machine (Big Betty). You get the idea. Yes my hands hurt.

The result is a one-of-a-kind work that reflects the character of its source and history but stands entirely on its own. My art is about reimagining found objects into new forms. Objects with their own identity, detached from their origins, created through a dialogue between what once was and what can be. What’s old is new again (and way more fun).

Hathaway Hutton uses only upcycled vintage materials purchased lawfully on the secondary market, never directly from the source. Hathaway Hutton is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any third-party brand unless explicitly stated.

Happy shopping! (and I'll be happy chopping... chop chop chop)
